Did She Really Get Pinned?
When I was growing up, I would always play with my Grandmother’s jewelry. She had such an incredible collection of baubles and was the queen of adding a pin or brooch to her sweaters, jackets, and tops—that last touch that was her signature. This season brooches are back and it makes me so nostalgic for my Grandmother. I pinned three different styles to this blazer and I love the lapel party that it created. Since this take adds flourish around your neckline, you can think of these brooches as fun and unexpected alternative to a necklace.
What I’m wearing: the big gold heart is by Oscar de la Renta, the leaf is by Kenneth Jay Lane, and the red enamel lapel pin is Gucci.
