Get the Parisian Look

Anyone who has a passion for fashion can agree that the French have such a classy, effortless, and minimalistic look to their outfits. Because of that, it has to be the most envied style. French chic can be classified and styled many different ways, but the key is to always look like getting ready was effortless.
Known tips from French women include forgetting the trends, going with a neutral colour scheme, don’t fear slouchy clothes, and save the active wear for the gym.

French Ladies of Inspiration

We find our inspiration from French female icons. Brigitte Bardot is one of the most well-known French beauties of all time.  She was an international sex symbol during the 1950s and 60s, but off-camera, her looks were elegant and chic, her outfits mostly consisting of flats and cute dresses.

We couldn’t talk about Parisian style without mentioning Coco ChanelCoco was the epitome of a French woman. Her outfits were simple, chic, and exuded confidence. She was one of the early adopters of the little black dress, styling it with her costume jewelry and knit separates.

Our modern-day Parisian muse is Clemence Poesy. Most of her looks consist of oxford shoes and knit sweaters. Her looks are simple and timeless. She often opts for classic button-downs and slacks. Her natural hair and makeup looks add to the effortless Parisian vibe.

Dress like the French

Less is really more here. To get the Parisian look, find yourself some really great staples. Look for a comfortable flat shoe to pair with some ankle crop trousers or jeans. For more formal occasions, a modest little black dress with some costume jewelry should do the trick. Add a red lip to any outfit and you’ll instantly up the French factor. When it comes down to it, we are opting for minimalism and an effortless look. If all else fails, you can always treat yourself to a bottle of wine, baguette, and delicious French cheese!
