LOOK FOR LESS: Anine Bing vs. Gap Chore Coat

A denim jacket is a wardrobe staple. Cropped, boyfriend, long, embellished with embroidery—we love ‘em all! But another staple that we recommend is the hardworking chore coat. A chore jacket is loosely defined as “coats that feature three (sometimes four, sometimes two) patch pockets to hold any tools required for the job at hand…it’s an everyday jacket because there’s a lot of pockets.” Pockets=perfection!

I have 2 versions featured here: one from Anine Bing Sawyer jacket for $199 and one from the Gap for $59.99. I love both! Luckily it’s an easy find and there are tons of versions out there at multiple price points. Here’s our top 10:

Everlane: Corduroy Chore Jacket, $78 & Cotton Chore Jacket, $48

Madewell: Connor Cropped Chore Jacket, $69.99

L.L. Bean: 1912 Chore Jacket, $29.99

Lee: Loco Chore Jacket, $65.00

Dickies: Sherpa Lined Chore Jacket, $59.99
