Retail Therapy for ALL

I think we are all looking for some retail distraction right now. We’ve certainly been on a mission to soothe ourselves with our searches. Needless to say, it gives us such immense pleasure when we sleuth out a super great designer “imposter.” Here are some of our most recent discoveries:

Fuzzy Mules: Jenni Kayne vs. Steve Madden

The Jenni Kayne shearling moc clog (MSRP $375) is the gold standard for a fuzzy mule, but we found these amazing substitutes from Steve Madden. The Vesa (MSRP $49.95) comes in a few colors / patterns including black, grey, natural, camo, leopard, and plaid. We scored the camo ones and have been wearing them a ton. Looks like they are flying off of the shelves, so step to it if you want ‘em!

*FYI: for reference, in these photos, the beige mule in Jenni Kayne and the grey is Steve Madden.

Fall Hat: Maison Michel vs. Amazon

I love a wool / felted hat for fall and the Kate wool fedora from Maison Michel is a favorite. But it is definitely pricey (MSRP $730). After some digging, I found this amazing dupe on Amazon for under $20. It definitely fits the bill (no pun intended!).

Chatting with Meredith Baird of Nucifera

A new decade has dawned, and we’ve left a wild ride of a year behind. We’re dipping our toes into the new year a little more gently, getting our bearings, and we must admit that the skin salves and oil-based products from Nucifera, an CA-based brand, are helping us glide into 2021 a little more smoothly.
