Deddeh Howard was born and raised in West Africa. She moved to the states away from her family at 17 years old to pursue her dreams. Deddeh currently live in Los Angeles with her husband and puppy where she prioritizes a healthy lifestyle. She is a passionate content creator focusing on helping and educating women to live their best life and take care of themselves, because self love is the most powerful tool to your own success!

Melissa: What is your particular morning routine and particular nighttime routine?

Deddeh: 1: No phone for at least 30 minutes when I first wake up 2: Spend time in bed with my husband 3: Meditation 4: Walk the dog and take my vitamins 5: Workout 6: Skincare routine 7: Breakfast, and then my day starts.

Melissa: What are your go to brands that are particular to you? Tell us your go-to denim, white t-shirt, bra or underwear, shoes, PJ’s or brand you splurge or invest in?

Deddeh: Denim: Frame, they fit my body so perfectly. White Tee: Paige is my go-to!! Bra or underwear: Knix, they are so comfortable and make me feel sexy! Shoes: I’m not big on shoes, so I buy a lot of Zara shoes -PJs: Knix, get them; you will sleep better, and they’re so cute!

Melissa: What is your particular travel destination?
Deddeh: Kenya! I’m so in love with Africa and heading back this summer.
Melissa: What is your particular go-to meal to cook? 
Deddeh: Loving our homemade tacos lately, see my recipe here.
Melissa: What particular thing that makes you feel scared, anxious, happy, excited or cry?
Deddeh: Not living in the moment scares me. I am always excited doing life with my husband, and our future family one day. What’s happening in our world right now makes me cry, and so can a good movie.
Melissa: What particular business advice you would give someone who is just getting started in their career?
Deddeh: Make sure to do it for you and that you 100% love the career you pick because this passion will keep you going and make life fun! Also, be adoptable things changing quickly.

Everything my younger self did lead me to the life I’m living right now, and I wouldn't want to change the nature of life.

Melissa: Anything you’re particularly obsessed with at the moment?

 

Deddeh: My husband! he’s the most positive, loving, and caring person I have ever met, and I can’t get enough of him.

Melissa: Particular thing you wish you made more time for or prioritize?
Deddeh: Reading, I really need to make more time.
Melissa: Is there a particular person who impacted your life?
Deddeh: My husband, he taught me and showed me how the right person could express and show love. He taught me what real love is and that, changed the way I love myself and others. It’s unbelievable what love can do.

Melissa: What was a particular turning point in your life?
Deddeh: Realizing studying to be Doctor was to please others and not me. So I quit school, and it was one of the best decision I made for myself.
Melissa: What particular thing that your younger self wouldn’t believe that you’ve done now?
Deddeh: Not really, I feel like she would be like…yes, that’s so me!
Melissa: What particular misconception people have about you or what you do?
Deddeh: That being a content creator is so easy; we take pictures, post them, and that’s it. But it’s so much more work than it looks, and it can get very stressful.
Melissa: Tell us when you had a particularly challenging time in your life that you were able to grow and learn from?
Deddeh: It was moving to the States at 17 years old and living without my parents or friends for a while. That was hard, but now I feel like I can adapt and live anywhere because of that experience.
