Lindsay Silberman is a luxury lifestyle blogger and the founder of Hotel Lobby Candle, inspired by her affinity for fancy hotel lobby scents! When Hotel Lobby Candle first launched in October 2020, the candles sold out in 24 minutes, garnering interest from luxury retailers like Neiman Marcus. Prior to launching her candle brand and lifestyle blog, she spent a decade as a magazine editor covering travel and beauty for outlets like Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Town & Country, Elle Decor, and GQ. When it comes to travel and lifestyle she is an expert plus her swoon worthy images and videos make you want to book your next trip and jump on a plane. She tells us everything she is particular about and then some!
She splits her time between New York City & Miami with her proud Instahusband (whose instagram handle is, in fact, @instahusband) and her mini dachshund, @longhairpierre.
MELISSA: What is your particular morning routine and particular nighttime routine?
LINDSAY: My morning routine is basically everything people say not to do — I wake up & read emails in bed with one eye-open. Then scroll Twitter & Instagram. Then my husband usually makes me a Nespresso iced coffee. Nighttime routine: glass of wine at 7pm while I finish working; dinner; and then a documentary or as many garbage reality TV shows I can squeeze in before I fall asleep!
MELISSA: What are your go to brands that are particular to you? Tell us your go-to denim, white t-shirt, bra or underwear, shoes, PJ’s or brand you splurge or invest in?

MELISSA:What is your particular vice?
LINDSAY:For me it’s, tequila and the Kardashians!
MELISSA:What is your particular travel destination?
LINDSAY:St. Barts hands down!
MELISSA:What particular thing that makes you feel scared, anxious, happy, excited or cry?
LINDSAY:Every. single. thing. makes me scared and anxious. I’m a Jewish New Yorker so it’s in my DNA, what can I say!
MELISSA:What particular business advice you would give someone who is just getting started in their career?
LINDSAY:Perfection is the enemy of progress.
MELISSA:Anything you’re particularly obsessed with at the moment?
LINDSAY:I am obsessed with our newPRIDE candlethat my brandHotel Lobby Candlejust launched. It’s EVERYTHING and more. Also, the docuseries“The Deep End”(about the controversial spiritual healer Teal Swan.)
MELISSA:Particular thing you wish you made more time for or prioritize more?
LINDSAY:My husband would tell you “my husband” and he would be right.
Do exactly what you're doing and don't second guess a thing. Eventually, the hard work will pay off, and you'll build a life you never could have imagined.
MELISSA:What was a particular turning point in your life?
LINDSAY:In 2012 I got hit by a car while walking across the street in my hometown of NYC. It completely changed my outlook on life. (I talk about the story in detailhere)
MELISSA:What particular thing that your younger self wouldn’t believe that you’ve done now?
LINDSAY: That I built my own successful company. Growing up, I never saw myself as entrepreneurial or business-minded.
MELISSA:What particular person, moment or event that inspired you to start your company?
LINDSAY:My former boss, Nicole Vecchiarelli, who was the founding editor ofDuJour Magazine, where I worked for 4 years. Nicole hired me, believed in me, and gave me opportunities that would eventually set the stage for the rest of my career. She also taught me the importance of decisiveness, knowing what you want, and not being afraid to ask for it which have helped me throughout my career.
MELISSA:What particular misconception people have about you or what you do?
LINDSAY:When people assume influencers just try on clothes and do makeup tutorials all day. What they don’t realize is the strategy, time, and effort that goes into everything we do—and the power that an influencer endorsement wields!
MELISSA:Tell us what particular moment you are most proud of?
LINDSAY:Leaving my “dream job” in 2018 despite being scared shitless, and achieving things I never thought were possible in the time since I left my job.
